Mike Tyson versus [/tag]Jake Paul[/tag] is the fight that people cannot stop talking about.
The rescheduled date of November 15 will see former world heavyweight champion Tyson take on a man in Paul who is as good as 30 years his junior.
While Tyson has been fighting to get fit after an ulcer flare-up delayed the initial fight date in July, Paul faced former UFC fighter and bare-knuckle star Mike Perry. He stopped him in the fifth round after several knock downs to take his record to 11 wins, 7 by stoppage, and just one loss to Tommy Fury.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, former unified world heavyweight ruler Wladimir Klitschko was asked for his thoughts on the contest.
“Well, that’s an outstanding fight. Mike Tyson at his age is facing a YouTuber that is much younger and hungry and capable of boxing as well so it’s going to be a good example for people that are Mike’s age, and a good example for me to keep on punching, so to speak, so I’ll look forward to it.”
It was put to him that many people think Tyson is too old to be fighting.
“You can only be too old in your mind, if you control your mind you can control everything. Age is in our mind, just keep punching.”
Klitschko hasn’t fought since a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua back in 2016 and has never mooted the idea of a ring return, instead saying he was happy to pass the torch to Joshua and more recently putting his support behind his countryman and newly crowned undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.
